How does funding through the IF Panel work?
One-off grant funding can be requested
from the Inclusion Framework panel, to
enable schools to implement inclusive early
intervention. Funding is considered at a
monthly IF panel meeting, which is split into the
four quadrants. The process for this is:
1. School completes an Inclusion Panel
Proforma and shares this, alongside the IF
grid profile/s, with their Inclusion Partner.
2. The quadrant team will support schools with
the development of their creative solution.
3. The Inclusion Partner adds the request to
an upcoming panel agenda and let schools
know the date/time.
4. Schools are invited to present their
proposal to the panel. Paperwork is shared
in advance, so this is a brief overview
(10minutes max) with opportunity to ask/
answer questions.
5. The panel provide their decision and
feedback in writing to school.
6. Funding is agreed to be provided in
advance by a grant, or as reimbursement.
Any funding parameters or conditions are
outlined in the written communication.
7. If funding is in advance: school will need
to submit the very short reimbursement
form and provide an invoice for the amount
payable - sent to inclusion.framework@
essex.gov.uk
8. If funding is in retrospect: school will need
to submit the very short reimbursement
form with supporting evidence of paid
invoice/s - sent to inclusion.framework@
essex.gov.uk
9. Payment is made as soon as possible via
the electronic payment tool. A confirmation
email is sent to the school automatically.
Decisions for funding are made by the
quadrant Assistant Directors, supported by
colleagues from the Quadrants, the central
Strategy and Innovation Team, and Education
Access Team. If you have any questions at any
time, please contact your Inclusion Partner, in
the first instance.
