14 Inclusion Framework Guidance
6. Final Test and Learn
Phase - 22/23
7. Examples
of feedback
gathered from
children, young
people and their
families
During the 2022/23 academic year a final evaluation will take place of
the countywide test and learn cases.
Schools, ECC colleagues and associations have continued to provide
valuable feedback which is incorporated into the project through an
agile approach.
The development of the Inclusion Strategy and Inclusion Reviews has
given us an opportunity to further refine the Inclusion Framework
outcomes grid. We have updated the grid to align with the agreed
pillars of the strategy and reviews:
y Wellbeing
y Relationships
y Attending
y Participating
y Achieving
y Moving-on
Schools are engaged in providing feedback on the updated framework
and on the ongoing development of the digital solution.
y I don't feel so lonely anymore.
y I have noticed that my child is happier going into school.
y M was profiled against the IF outcomes, before and after the
action plan was completed. M's parents were impressed with
the progress that had been made over the 5/6 months and had
noticed the change in him but felt quite shocked to see how much
change when they compared the two documents.
y My child benefitted from the consistency of having one person
to support him with his medical needs. More things were being
noticed about him around his condition and fed back to me.
8. Examples of
feedback gathered
from schools
y The Inclusion Framework has been invaluable in allowing us
to provide specialist support to a student at a point of acute,
time-sensitive need. As a consequence, we were able to avoid a
permanent exclusion at a time when it appeared the only available
course of action.
y TPP training alongside the IF gave the support staff the
understanding to support the changes made through the Inclusion
Framework.
y It gives trust and ownership to the school.
y We used the IF framework built into foundation lessons and were
able to take the learning objectives from the Framework.
y We found the IF particularly useful in identifying children with
SEMH needs and next steps for those children.
