7 Guidance for reviews of average-sized primary schools
Inclusion Reviews
After the review
The Headteacher/Principal will receive a written report. This will include:
y date of review
y reviewers
y review activity undertaken
y key findings
y recommendations
y where appropriate, recommendations may be linked to additional resource and/or support from
the ECC team
The report should be approximately 500-1000 words long (or one to two sides of A4).
The report should be written by the review team lead within five working days of the date of the review.
All team members are responsible for reviewing the report to confirm its content within this time limit.
The report should then be sent for quality assurance to the relevant Assistant Director (or a different
Assistant Director, if the review was led by an Assistant Director) who will forward the report back to
the review team lead within two days with any suggested amendments (if required).
Within 10 working days of the review, the report will be sent by the LA electronically as a PDF to the
Headteacher/Principal and the Chair of Governors.
The report will also be circulated to the SEP, Assistant Director, Head of Education and EYFS Team
Leader for the Quadrant.
The post-review evaluation (appendix 6) must be shared with school leaders. This can be completed
either by the review team lead in discussion with school leaders (preferred) or can be completed by
school leaders and forwarded to the review team lead.
